A fun event celebrating NZ Music Month. Guest DJ/Speakers will be playing and talking about New Zealand music that is special to them and their world.
There will be tacos by Tacos Y Masa for sale as well as Pause for Tea teas.
Come and relax on our beanbags and immerse yourself in the sounds of Aotearoa chosen by four local music stars.
Princess Chelsea
Princess Chelsea is a Waiheke Island based songwriter, producer, and visual artist. Together with her band The Dream Warriors, Princess Chelsea has presented large-scale, theatrically considered shows, including appearances at the Aotearoa Music Awards, the Taite Music Awards, and her annual Midwinter Balls. In recent years, she has increasingly embraced collaboration in the studio, moving beyond a strictly auteur approach to explore new creative directions.
Brenna Gotje
Brenna Gotje is an award winning music photgrapher. She will be sharing her favourite local bands whilst presenting a slideshow of her live photographs of them.
Chris Walker
Chris Walker is a driving force behind Waiheke Radio and is an obsessive New Zealand vinyl collector. Chris will be diving deep into his collection for this event.
Peter Baker
Peter Baker has been running independant music distibution company Rhythmethod for 25 years. From a spare room in Howick to a large warehouse in Mt Eden, Rhythmethod has supported leading independent labels & artists for a quarter of a century. They have enjoyed long standing relationships with Subpop, 4AD, Matador, XL, Drag City, Domino, Mr Bongo, Jagjaguwar, Dead Oceans, Lil Chief and The Drop.
