Nick Douch
Nick Douch is a Director of Eliette’s Music Academy and the drummer for Kiwi rock band Ekko Park. Since 2012, Ekko Park has been a forerunner in the New Zealand music scene, releasing three albums and performing hundreds of shows across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and Europe.
Nick joined Eliette’s Music Academy in 2017 as a drum and band programme tutor. In 2021, he transitioned into a Director role, working alongside Eliette to expand the academy and open two new locations in Grafton and Botany. Today, EMA supports a thriving community of over 1,000 students across its campuses.
His musical journey began at a young age, teaching himself drums from age 6 . After high school, Nick pursued formal study at WINTEC in Hamilton, graduating with a Bachelor of Music.
From the very beginning, Nick’s goal was to become a working drummer in a band. While actively doing so, he is equally passionate about inspiring and empowering young musicians to follow their own creative paths through Eliette’s Music Academy.
