Learn to Sew with Bea Lorimer

A four week course learning basic sewing skills.

This four week class is for beginners with a little bit of sewing experience wanting to try out a few projects.

We will make a tote bag or cushion and a kimono jacket.

For those that have done this class before there will be other options and more practice.

Materials are provided and the focus will be on using upcycled Fabrics and clothing

Bea Lorimer

Bea Lorimer is the artist and creator behind Heke design – an upcycled fashion brand. Originally from Australia, raised in Canada, she is a long-term Waiheke Island resident.

She is an avid recycler and considers upcycling the perfect challenge and combination of creativity with a real purpose.

She also spent many years in the music industry, and had the privilege of travelling around the world looking after wardrobe for the likes of k.d lang, Diana Krall and Leonard Cohen and the Tragically Hip.
