Tutor

Jan Newton is a passionate advocate for the use of Te Reo by all members of society. He has been involved in kapa haka since 1993 and he has participated in a year long Te Atarangi course. Two years ago he returned school as a year 13 student to increase his knowledge of Te Reo me ngā tikanga Māori. He believes singing waiata is a way forward for all to engage with Te Reo and Tikanga Maori. He began learning waiata to support his children during their schooling and is keen to share this learning with a wider audience.
