Course Details

When your facilitator hired two uber-Millennial travellers as casual field staff to work in some of Waiheke Island’s most remote locations, he had to ask: how do you instil the skills and mindset to keep them safe in the bush- while keeping the bush safe from them?

The answer was to present H&S legislation in fresh, exciting and enjoyable ways.

This workshop is packed full of practical tips, tools and insights drawn from decades of conservation, tramping and survival experience, as well as military operations.

It’s aimed at outdoor conservation professionals, volunteers and those seeking a career change.

Come dressed and equipped for time in the field- this is a hands-on, experiential learning experience.

Places are limited to 20 so book your place early.

Richard Margesson has a extensive and diverse experience from a British Army Infantry Officer, trained counsellor, psychotherapist, and clinical hypnotherapist to a man who spent four months walking from the top of New Zealand to the bottom.
