This course will be hands-on, covering the following topics:

  • Core GIS concepts
  • Marking places of interest in Oneroa and mapping them
  • Integrating other maps, images and data
  • Including your maps in Word documents and PowerPoint presentations.

You will learn how to collect points and make a map that you can insert in a document or put on a web site. We will use examples from conservation projects, but the skills are widely applicable in many fields.
