Course Details

This course is a Food Safety training and assessment course to enable safe food handling practise in the food industry. The course is based on the theory in NZQA unit standards 176 and 20666.

The course content includes:

  • Current food legislation
  • Personal hygeine
  • Food handling and storage
  • Temperature control
  • Food poisoning
  • Cleaning methods and equipment
  • Pests and pest control

Sufficient English to complete assessment in writing or orally is required to attend this course.
