Course Details

This is a 10 hour course that will take you through the fundamentals of making a small contemporary quilt for your wall, knees or bed.

Included will be consideration of style, fabric choices, layout and design as well as the technical steps for creating your quilt. You will need to supply your own fabrics and basic sewing kit and details will be provided on enolment. We have some sewing machines but please bring your own if you have one.

Emma Rochester (Ph.D.) has a doctorate specialising in sacred sites and fine art. A Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator, Qoya dance teacher in training, Reiki Master Teacher and Egyptian Seichem Oracle Reader she has been hosted by universities internationally from Oxford, UK to Temple University, USA. Emma has an interest in comparative religion and mythology as expressed through art and cultural artefacts. A teacher at the Findhorn Community she runs labyrinth retreats to Iona, Scotland. She draws on her knowledge of the sacred to create empowering decorative artworks called Mystic Roses.
